About Dr. John H. Binkley, Jr

Dr. John H. Binkley, Jr. has spent more than 20 years as an international ambassador for Jesus Christ. Having visited more than 60 countries during over 100 missions, Dr. Binkley has help to guide thousands of people towards the love and light of the Gospel.

Dr. Binkley was born and raised in Live Oak, Florida, where he was first introduced to the importance of building a strong religious foundation. Eager to further his education and possessing a great interest in business principles and leadership, he attended Southern Methodist University Edwin L. Cox School of Business in Dallas, Texas. In 1987 he founded Generational Equity, a Mergers and Acquisitions firm that has flourished into one of the nation’s top middle-market intermediaries in the United States.


Beginning in 1995, Dr. Binkley combined his love of international travel with his passion for the Word of God and joined with several Christian organizations dedicated to bringing education, water wells, and faith to the world’s poorest villages. During his missions, Dr. Binkely incorporated his vast knowledge of finance and leadership with core religious principles in order to give villagers the necessary tools to build economically stable, healthy, and fruitful lives. In 2000, Dr. Binkley was awarded a Doctorate Degree in Ministry from The Phoenix University of Theology. Today, he serves as Chancellor of Phoenix University of Theology, as well as Dean of the Institute of Christian Maturity.

  • Dr. Binkley’s book, “Character is King,” explores the power of faith in the achievement of personal success. It is required reading for Masters and Doctoral degree programs in the Phoenix University of Theology.

    Dr. Binkley lives in Dallas, Texas with his family. He spends his free time fishing, golfing, and rooting for the Texas Longhorns.
